Terre del Bruno wines, how to pair them with food - Chianti Riserva DOCG

Poggio ai Falchi - Chianti Riserva DOCG

Poggio ai Falchi CHIANTI RISERVA DOCG

The grapes used for this wine are selected during the green harvest, between June and July, where the excess bunches are eliminated to give a greater structure and body to the remaining ones. After the vinification, this wine is aged for sixteen months in French oak barriques of second and third passage not to alter the original aromas, but to enhance them instead. Red colour, tending towards the pomegranate red. Enveloping flavours with a fruity aroma reminiscent of small berries with slight hints of spices and vanilla. Structured, warm, elegant, with a tannic finish. This wine really represents our winery with its union between its unquestionable anchorage to the tradition and its great quality, only achievable with a modern and full mastering of the winemaking art.

Paring this wine with food:

Terre del Bruno Chianti Riserva DOCG is to be stored orizontally and served at a temperature of 18-20°C.
This wine, with its roundnees and its deep aromas, pairs amazingly well game dishes, and red meat dishes in general, being them main course dishes or pasta dishes. As an example we could mention the Peposo dell’Impruneta, a well known meat based Florentine preparation. Surprisingly, we could also pair this wine, with great success, to fish dishes like the Cacciucco alla Livornese or the spaghetti with octopus ragout. This recipes, fish based but with strong and fulfilling flavours it’s just perfect accompained with a glass of Terre del Bruno Chianti Riserva.
