Concrete tanks

After years in which the use of concrete tubs had been abandoned, we are witnessing the rediscovery, mostly by organic and biodynamic companies, of this poor material with unexpected virtues. This winemaking technique is based on the natural micro-oxygenation of the cement. In fact, this new type of tank is made up of troweled concrete, a technique whereby the internal walls of the tanks are smoothed, making vitrification unnecessary. Thanks to the porosity of the non-vitrified cement, the wines undergo a process of micro-oxygenation.

Thanks to these coils, totally integrated within the concrete of the tanks, it is possible to have total control of the temperature of the wine inside the tanks.
