Terroir

Chianti region area

Terre del Bruno is located in the heart of the Chianti, a fertile earth for the production of wine in Tuscany, from way back, as well as being a location of charm in everyone’s imagination. The farm develops in a valley between gentle hills, which are made with a prevalence of clay and galestro, on whose slopes facing south the vineyards stretch.

Compared to nearby Valdelsa, the hills here are much higher, up to 400 meters above sea level.

The soil is composed of clay and mainly galestro (also called alberese), a rock of clay that brings polyphenolic richness, freshness and structure to the wines: features which are the best premise for a good longevity of the wine itself.
