#harvesting2020, getting to the end

The harvesting has got to the end. Thanks to a sunny and hot September we managed to take to perfect ripening our varieties Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. We paid particular attention, of course, to the grapes we manually selected, the ones intended to be aged in wood. Those grapes, got to a brilliant stage of ripening and we have been able to harvest them just before the rain arrived. We had a relative decrease in the production, also due to the fact that we operate a bunches selection in the early stage of maturation. The Cabernet Sauvignon has been harvested in the first week of October, we achieved a very good result in terms of alcohol content, 13,5 degrees. The wine, at this early stage, looks great and we have good hopes for the 2020 vintage. Thanks to the excellent production of Cabernet Sauvignon we obtain this year, we are thinking of a new project to undertake in 2022, after the aging period, a special limited edition of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
