Winery

The family

“Our roots are firmly anchored in this land and the people who have lived here thought us the value of hard work, the inexorability of the nature, the virtue of knowing how to create something from scratch and the patience to wait for everything to happen at the right moment.”

Terre del Bruno has two inseparable strands, tied together by the value of the Diddi’s family: the love of their land and the respect for the extraordinary work that is always behind a good wine.

Two souls and two passions: making wine in the Chianti and welcoming travellers to their Resort, located in one of the most loved places in the world, who are impatient to discover Tuscany and its treasures.

Terre del Bruno is the backbone of Fattoria Pogni, the true heart of this winery. A soul, grounded into this land like the vines planted in this territory. Terre del Bruno is a modern and dynamic company, which has had the courage to renew itself over time and transform a great tradition such as making wine in Chianti, in a vocation for quality.

The company was born from the union of two families, who owned land near the ancient village of Pogni, already in the sixties and who were already involved in the production of wine from generations before.

A part of the hamlet belonged to the Diddi family, coming from Prato, who in 1966 bought the land and vineyards of Pogni to start a small wine business. The other part of the property was of owned by Bruno Bonechi and his family, who have lived in Marcialla and had produced wine for generations and managed their vineyards independently.

It’s to Bruno Bonechi that the label Terre del Bruno is dedicated, a label born Lorella's beloved father. It is in fact when Massimo Diddi and Lorella Bonechi got to know each other and got married, that the two properties got inextricably tied together.

Another step forward took place in 2003, when Gianmarco and Andrea, the sons of Lorella and Massimo, decided to give life to a young and innovative winery. Thanks to their entrepreneurial choice, they have been able to blend together the rich tradition of the Chianti territory with a new project that looks to the future.

Today the Diddi brothers and their mother Lorella run the company with the support of collaborators both for the wine production and for the Resort, still enlivened by that love from which everything began.
